Special Project - Raffle Tickets fundraiser for ND Veteran’s Home
We will be selling raffle tickets as a fundraiser for the North Dakota Veteran’s Home in Lisbon, North Dakota. We will be selling tickets all year round for $10 each. The prizes are a handmade quilt, a bourbon basket, and $100 cash. Please contact Kathleen Halvorson, Becca Schmid, or Abbey Dahl for tickets.

Worthy Grand Matron Sally Dahl and Worthy Grand Patron David Spooner are thrilled to announce their Living the Dream Grand Chapter Session will be held Wednesday, June 2 through Saturday, June 5, 2027 at the Grand Hotel in Minot, ND.
North Dakota Grand Chapter looks forward to extending a warm welcome to our out-of-state Grand Representatives and other distinguished guests along with our North Dakota Sisters and Brothers.

I would like to dedicate our “Living the Dream: year to Tom and JoAnne Swinland, Tom and Donna Palmer, Lois Linde Isakson, Barb McCormick, and Don and Darlene Albertson. These sisters and brothers supported and encouraged me first in Rainbow for Girls then Eastern Star. To the members of Wild Rose #58 for their love and support in this endeavor. To Darlene Spooner who keeps me on task and is a wellspring of information, Last but not least to my family, my daughters Becca and Abbey, thanks for all your computer hours and helping get things ready for my year. My husband, Rob, for never complaining when I want to travel for OES and to Kathleen for always quietly working behind the scenes making sure things run smoothly. Now lets start “Living the Dream” traveling, meeting new friends, and spreading our love for the Order of the Eastern Star.

Good afternoon, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your faith in my abilities to perform my duties to the high standards set by those that have served before me, and as a benchmark for those that will follow. I would also like to thank the members of Mecca Chapter #5 for your steadfast support. And finally, for my beautiful wife Darlene, for reminding me that the call isn't necessarily a one and done deal. When the call comes, it is our duty to serve the good of the Order. In honor of all veterans and Brother Terry Schwab in particular, I have chosen to continue his good work supporting the Veteran's Home ins Lisbon, North Dakota as my project for the ensuing year. I have created a basket containing a commemorative bottle of bourbon from the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby in 2024, along with select other complimentary goodies. Tickets will be available for $10 each.
